You’ve probably already heard of the new Porsche 918. This new sports car from the German car manufacturer has besides a roaring V8 engine some extra stuff to keep the Greenpeace members satisfied. Despite the car not yet in production – that is still – the concept car already shows the new Porsche on the tarmac.

The car was shown a few days back  at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Porsche has already confirmed that the car goes into production, which is nice, because after an endless series of 911-variants and trips to SUVs and four-door cars, real Porsche lovers just want a sportscar!

Despite the hybrid drive and matching green sales pitch the car has enough horsepower. The gasoline-powered V8 delivers 500 hp and the three electric motors would add another 217 hp to it. This can beat a Prius with a top speed of 315 km / h  with according to official figures less CO2 from the exhausts.
