GRANT SMITH is hoping it will be lucky 13 for him after the midfielder yesterday impressed Hibs during a reserve match. The 26-year-old was invited to train with the Easter Road side after being freed by Dundee United during last month's transfer window. Hibs boss John Collins will consider making Smith an offer before he jets off with his players on Sunday to a training camp in Marbella. If Smith - son of former Rangers striker and TV pundit Gordon-lands a deal, Hibs will become the 13th club of his career. He grabbed his chance when he went on as a half-time substitute for Michael Stewart in a 0-0 draw with Falkirk at Meadow bank. .
A Spring Break to remember for North Cross students
During spring break earlier this month, 30 North Cross School eighth graders and five faculty members spent nine days and eight nights -- March 3-11 -- traveling through Spain.To prepare for the trip, each of the middle school Spanish students spent several weeks researching a specific location on the itinerary, making at least one of the students the expert on each location they visited in Madrid, Toledo, Seville, Ronda and Estepona. .
